Designed for those with limited mobility, this practice will safely encourage those who currently find it unwise to participate in traditional floor yoga programs.
By focusing on the breath, this gentle yoga class will benefit even those with extremely limited mobility. Students can remain seated in chairs, or at times, if they are comfortable in doing so, stand, using chairs & walls for support. Through a series of some movements, and some sustained postures, a broad array of benefits may result. These include but are not limited to: increases in circulation, joint mobility, strength, balance, feelings of wellness & capability.
Regular yoga practice has been shown to improve vitality and flexibility. It rewards practitioners with greater energy, physical well-being, and relaxed mental awareness. Why not try it? Experience this millenniums old discipline anew!! Please come, and bring comfortable clothing, a fairly empty tummy, & a smile! Your presence is welcome and appreciated!
